Fatal Bus Accident in La Gomera
A man has died and 27 others sustained injuries after a bus carrying British tourists crashed into a ravine in La Gomera, part of the Canary Islands, according to local emergency services.
The vehicle fell approximately 10 meters near San Sebastián de La Gomera, as reported by Spanish news outlet El Mundo.
Passengers and Injuries
Emergency services 112 Canarias confirmed via a post on X that there were 28 people on board, including 27 British tourists and one driver.
The injured have been transported to hospitals, with three individuals reported to be in serious condition.
Most of the injured were taken to Hospital Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, located on the eastern side of the island. Two seriously injured patients were airlifted by helicopter to hospitals on the neighboring island of Tenerife, according to 112 Canarias.
Accident Location and Road Conditions
The bus was traveling on the GM-2 road before it crashed into the ravine. This road is mountainous and features sharp turns. An image shared by emergency services appears to show the crash occurred near a hairpin bend.

"The bus passengers were staying at a resort on the island."
