Fatal Two-Vehicle Collision in County Louth

A man in his late 60s has died following a two-car collision in County Louth on Monday night.

Gardaí reported that the incident involved two vehicles and occurred on the N53 at Rassan, near the border with Northern Ireland, at approximately 22:15 BST.

The man, who was driving one of the vehicles, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A woman in her 20s, who was a passenger in the second vehicle, was transported to hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.

Authorities have issued an appeal for witnesses to come forward with any information regarding the collision.

The road remains closed, and local diversions have been implemented.
