Bonnie Tyler's Health Update
Singer Bonnie Tyler has been placed into an induced coma to support her recovery after undergoing emergency intestinal surgery, according to a spokesperson for the artist.
The 74-year-old, originally from Skewen, Wales, was rushed to a hospital near her residence in Faro, Portugal, on Wednesday to undergo the urgent procedure and is currently recuperating.
"Bonnie has been put into an induced coma by her doctors to aid her recovery," the spokesman stated on Thursday evening.
"We know that you all wish her well and ask for privacy at this difficult time please. We will issue a further statement when we are able to."

Born Gaynor Hopkins in a council house in Neath, Bonnie Tyler rose to international fame with her 1983 hit "Total Eclipse of the Heart."
The song, which marked its 43rd anniversary this year, has achieved significant milestones, including surpassing one billion streams on Spotify, solidifying its place in music history.
Tyler developed a passion for music early in life and was discovered by talent scout Roger Bell while performing at a club in Swansea.
Her debut single, "Lost in France," was released in 1977, but it was the powerful ballad "Total Eclipse of the Heart," released five years later, that transformed her career.
