Global Landmarks Participate in Earth Hour
Iconic landmarks worldwide, including France's Eiffel Tower and Barcelona's Sagrada Família Basilica, switched off their lights for one hour on Saturday night in observance of Earth Hour.
The event is organized annually by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) to promote environmental awareness and encourage individuals to turn off their lights for 60 minutes. Earth Hour originated in Sydney, Australia, in 2007.
