Devil-Horned Tribute at St Mary's Church
A tribute bench featuring devil horns in honor of Prodigy frontman Keith Flint has been described as "respectful" despite its location in a churchyard, according to a local reverend.
The bench is situated at St Mary's Church in Bocking, Essex, close to where Flint grew up and where the band was formed in nearby Braintree.
However, some individuals have raised concerns about whether the Satanic imagery is appropriate for a Christian place of worship.
The Right Reverend Rod Reid addressed these concerns, stating that both the band and Flint's family were "very respectful" in their design choices.
"The band and the family wanted something fitting for the churchyard," Reid told the BBC.
"They were very respectful and very aware of the setting."
Flint was known for styling his hair into two devil horns, a silhouette of which is etched into the backrest of the bench.

Community Response and Funeral Details
Reverend Reid, who officiated Flint's funeral in 2019, emphasized that many people were "amazed" by the bench and its significance in this location.
More than 5,000 people attended Flint's funeral after he was found deceased at his home in North End in March 2019.
The tribute was designed with input from band manager John Fairs and Prodigy founder Liam Howlett, and was ultimately approved by Flint's family.
"For local people here in Braintree and around, this means an awful lot," Reid said.
"They remember seeing [Flint and Howlett] on the dance floors in Braintree. They have followed them all the way through and they are proud."
Additional Tributes and Upcoming Tour
The design of the bench has received praise from many individuals commenting on the band's Facebook post about the tribute.
Flint already has a tribute in Braintree in the form of a mural painted on a water tank at Braintree Town Football Club's ground.
The Prodigy, which also includes Liam Howlett and Keith Palmer (known as Maxim), have announced a world tour scheduled for 2026.
