CMAT Apologises After LIDO Festival Date Cancelled
Irish singer CMAT has issued an apology to fans following the cancellation of her headline performance at the LIDO Festival. The event, originally scheduled to take place at London's Victoria Park from 12 to 14 June, has been rescheduled to a single date on 31 August due to concerns over park conditions.
Organisers announced that the decision to reschedule was made to "protect park conditions" after an unusually wet winter affected the venue.
Alongside CMAT, other artists including Father John Misty and Bombay Bicycle Club will no longer be performing at the June event.
"I realise this will cause issues for some of you who have bought tickets and may be travelling and for that I can only say sorry,"CMAT stated on social media, expressing her devastation at not being able to perform.
"I am truly devastated not to be able to play this festival."

Organisers Cite Weather Impact on Victoria Park
The LIDO Festival organisers explained that one of the wettest winters in recent history had impacted an "extensive reseeding and improvement programme" at Victoria Park. They added that their advisors recommended allowing more time for the newly improved areas to recover before hosting the festival.
"Our advisors recommended giving these newly improved areas a little more time before starting the festival programme,"the statement said.
The park had previously experienced significant dust issues during multiple festival shows last summer, which organisers attributed to drought conditions.
Festival Restructured to One Day in August
After reducing the festival from three days to one, electronic duo Maribou State and various support acts will now perform during the single August show. Organisers emphasised that these changes are not the fault of the artists involved and assured ticketholders they will receive full refunds.
LIDO Festival, which launched in 2025, promotes itself as "a fan-first festival." The inaugural event featured artists such as Massive Attack, Charli XCX, and London Grammar.
All Points East festival is also scheduled to take place in Victoria Park in August. Event organisers have confirmed to beat that it is currently planned to proceed as scheduled.
