British Singer Lauren Bennett Passes Away at 37

Lauren Bennett, a British singer known for her contribution to LMFAO's 2011 hit song "Party Rock Anthem," has died at the age of 37.

The news was shared by her former musical group G.R.L. on their Instagram account on Monday.

"It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Lauren," the statement said. "Our hearts are broken, and we cannot begin to express how much she meant to us."

The statement did not disclose the cause of death, and representatives for Bennett did not immediately respond to the BBC's request for comment.

Career Highlights and Achievements

"Party Rock Anthem" was named the fifth most successful song of all time by Billboard, after spending six weeks at number one on its Hot 100 chart in 2011. Bennett also appeared alongside LMFAO members in the music video for the song, which has accumulated more than 2.5 billion views on YouTube.

In 2014, Bennett joined the pop group G.R.L., which was formed as a reboot of the US girl group The Pussycat Dolls. The group included singers Paula Van Oppen, Natasha Slayton, Simone Battle, and Emmalyn Estrada.

G.R.L.'s most popular single was "Ugly Heart," released in 2014. That same year, they were featured on Pitbull's song "Wild Wild Love."

The group disbanded in 2015 following the death of Simone Battle, who died by suicide.

In addition to her work with G.R.L., Bennett contributed vocals to soundtracks for the films "Date Night" and "21 Jump Street."

"We will forever cherish the love, laughter, and countless memories she gave us," G.R.L.'s statement continued. "Her beautiful spirit touched so many lives, and she will be deeply missed and forever loved."

Additional Musical Endeavors and Tributes

Bennett was also a member of the group Paradiso Girls, which was created by dancer and choreographer Robin Antin as a European spin-off of The Pussycat Dolls.

Former bandmate Aria Crescendo paid tribute to Bennett on Instagram, writing:

"RIP Lauren my sister my best friend I can't believe you left us.

We spoke a week before it all happened and I could not imagine that would be the last time I would be able to talk to you.

Love you and miss you forever."
