Woodman and Assiratti Join Wales' Six Nations Squad
Cardiff's Keiron Assiratti and Dragons' Ryan Woodman have been incorporated into Steve Tandy's Wales squad as they prepare to resume their Six Nations campaign in Ireland on Friday.
Recalled prop Assiratti and uncapped flanker Woodman joined the squad upon their return to camp on Sunday following the tournament's fallow week.
Ospreys lock Rhys Davies and Scarlets back-rower Taine Plumtree have both been ruled out for the remainder of the tournament. The 22-year-old Woodman is capable of playing in both positions.
The Newport-born former Wales Under-20s captain has made 43 appearances for the Dragons, featuring in 13 of their 16 games this season.
Tight-head prop Assiratti was initially named in Tandy's original squad for this year's campaign but was released prior to the first match against England due to a calf injury.
Wales are also monitoring the fitness of fly-half Sam Costelow ahead of their trip to Dublin, where they aim to secure their first victory in 15 Six Nations matches.
