Alan Dickens Leaves Newcastle Red Bulls
Newcastle Red Bulls have confirmed that head coach Alan Dickens will leave the club with immediate effect.
Although Dickens was initially scheduled to depart at the end of the season, the club and coach have reached an agreement allowing him to "
pursue other opportunities" as stated in an official club release.
Dickens joined Newcastle in the summer of 2024 to serve under director of rugby Steve Diamond. However, after Diamond's departure following the first game of the current season, Dickens was promoted to head coach.
In response to Dickens' exit, the Red Bulls have appointed their current attack coach, former Wales fly-half Stephen Jones, as head coach for the remainder of the season.
