Millie David Set for England Debut

Bristol Bears wing Millie David is poised to earn her first international cap for England against Wales in the Women's Six Nations this Saturday. England have made further changes to their squad as they continue to refine their lineup.

David, who has been highly regarded following her performances for England's under-20s, has been rewarded for her impressive form in the Premier 15s. England are still seeking a long-term solution for their back-three following the retirement of World Cup winner Abby Dow.

The 20-year-old, who is also eligible to represent Australia through her father, finished last season as joint top try-scorer in England's top flight. She has stood out despite Bristol Bears experiencing a challenging campaign.

Joining David on the wings is Claudia Moloney-MacDonald, while Ellie Kildunne, who scored two tries from the wing against Scotland, returns to her usual full-back position.

The match will be broadcast live on BBC Two and available on the website and app.

Changes in the Forward Pack

England's second row options have been significantly affected by injuries and other absences. Lilli Ives Campion has suffered a knee injury, adding to the list of sidelined locks. Zoe Stratford, Abbie Ward, and Rosie Galligan are all currently pregnant, while Morwenna Talling is out of the tournament due to a leg injury sustained during the opening weekend victory over Ireland.

In response, back row players Abi Burton and Delaney Burns will form the second row partnership. Burns has three caps, with her most recent appearance in 2023.

At fly-half, Holly Aitchison returns to the number 10 jersey, replacing Zoe Harrison.

Props MacKenzie Carson and Sarah Bern have been promoted from the bench to the starting lineup, alongside experienced flanker Marlie Packer, who has earned 113 caps.

England's Prospects Against Wales

Despite the disruptions and new caps, England's depth is expected to be sufficient to overcome Wales, who have finished at the bottom of the Six Nations table in the past two campaigns.

The England starting XV is as follows: Kildunne; David, Jones (captain), Rowland, Moloney-MacDonald; Aitchison, L Packer; Carson, Cokayne, Bern, Burton, Burns, Kabeya, M Packer, Feaunati.

Replacements include Powell, Clifford, Muir, Lutui, Short, Robinson, Harrison, and Breach.
