Scotland Team Updates Ahead of Argentina Match
Scotland lock Jonny Gray is set to return to the starting line-up for their upcoming match against Argentina in Cordoba.
Fly-half Finn Russell will not be part of Scotland's squad for the opening Nations Championship match of the summer series against Argentina, while Gray makes his comeback after missing the 2025 Six Nations.
Russell, aged 33, remains sidelined due to a calf injury that prevented him from participating in the latter stages of Bath's domestic season. Gray, 32, last represented Scotland during the 2025 Six Nations tournament.
Lock Scott Cummings, 29, and prop Pierre Schoeman, 32, are set to earn their 50th caps at Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes in Cordoba on Saturday, with kickoff scheduled for 20:10 BST.
Gregor Townsend's Scotland side will also face South Africa in Pretoria and Fiji at Murrayfield later this month as part of the Nations Championship.
Team Changes and Line-Up Details
The starting XV against the Pumas features eight changes compared to the team that concluded the Six Nations with a defeat to Ireland in Dublin in mid-March.
New inclusions alongside Gray are full-back Kyle Rowe, centre Rory Hutchinson, wing Jamie Dobie, fly-half Tom Jordan, hooker George Turner, prop Elliot Millar-Mills, and lock Scott Cummings.
Kyle Steyn will shift from the left wing to the right to accommodate Jamie Dobie.
Prop Zander Fagerson and wing Darcy Graham, who started in the Dublin match, have been moved to the bench.
