Exeter Chiefs Ownership Changes Hands

The owners of Premier League club AFC Bournemouth have finalized their acquisition of Exeter Chiefs.

Cannae Holdings' Black Knight Rugby becomes the first US-based entity to assume control of a top-tier English rugby club.

reports the transaction for this month's Premiership finalists, who were runners-up, is valued at approximately £25 million.

The club's members, previously owners of the two-time Premiership champions and 2020 European Champions Cup winners, approved the takeover plans last month.

Black Knight's Rugby Investment and Other Holdings

This marks Black Knight's inaugural investment in rugby. The group also holds stakes in the French football club FC Lorient and owns Auckland FC.
