Dragons Prop Chris Coleman Signs New Contract
Chris Coleman, who has represented Ebbw Vale, Newport, Cross Keys, and his home club Garndiffaith, has agreed to a new contract to remain with the Welsh regional team, Dragons.
The 27-year-old prop, who earned his first cap for Wales in July 2025 during a match against Japan, has accumulated 88 appearances for the Dragons and scored four tries to date.
Coleman's most recent try was scored in the Dragons' Challenge Cup victory over Stade Francais on Sunday.
"Dragons is my home region... I genuinely love training and playing with some of my best mates, especially in front of a packed Rodney Parade," Coleman said.
"The last year has been special for me and my family, getting my first Welsh cap was a lifetime goal of mine.
"It is only the start; there is a lot of competition within this squad which drives us all to get better. I think Dragons is the best place for me to keep continuing to improve every day."
Sam Hobbs, the forwards coach for Dragons, commented on Coleman's progress and dedication.
"Chris is a great example of hard work and perseverance throughout his career so far.
Coming through our academy and pathway, Chris has developed into a quality senior tighthead.
The exciting thing about Chris is there is still potential to get better and with his willingness and dedication to improve every day we look forward to continuing his development."
