Tries: Bowden, Lockwood 2, penalty, Singleton Cons: Williams 3
Tries: Marlow, Ferrie Cons: Ramsay, MacRae
Brython Thunder secured a bonus-point win against Edinburgh, completing the double over their rivals and maintaining their slim hopes for the Celtic Challenge play-off.
At Llanelli's Parc y Scarlets, Thunder hooker Rhian Bowden and Edinburgh fly-half Nicole Marlow traded early tries. Thunder then extended their lead with a try from scrum-half Seren Lockwood and a penalty try awarded to them.
After the break, Seren Singleton scored a solo try from the wing to secure the bonus point for Thunder, while Edinburgh responded with a try by lock Adelle Ferrie.
Lockwood's second try of the match ultimately sealed Thunder's second and most impressive victory of the season.
With this win, Thunder moved ahead of Edinburgh into fifth place. The top four teams will advance to the semi-finals after two remaining rounds.
Thunder will be closely monitoring Sunday's fixture where reigning champions Wolfhounds face fourth-placed Glasgow.
