Luke Littler Secures Semi-Final Spot at UK Open
Luke Littler, the defending champion, secured his place in the semi-finals of the UK Open in Minehead by defeating 2022 winner Danny Noppert in the quarter-final round.
The 19-year-old, a two-time world champion and current world number one, began the best-of-19-legs match trailing 3-0 against Dutch competitor Noppert. Littler responded strongly by winning three consecutive legs to level the match, took the lead for the first time at 6-5, and ultimately triumphed 10-6 to advance to the last four.
During the 15th leg, Littler delivered seven perfect darts in pursuit of a potential nine-darter but missed his shot at treble 17, preventing the perfect leg.
Littler aims to become the first player since Michael van Gerwen in 2015 and 2016 to win back-to-back UK Open titles.
Other Quarter-Final Results
Earlier in the day, Northern Ireland's Josh Rock defeated Poland's Krzysztof Ratajski 10-7. Additionally, three-time UK Open champion James Wade narrowly beat 2018 world champion Rob Cross 10-9.
Cross mounted a comeback from a 9-7 deficit to force a deciding leg, but Wade, who was runner-up to Littler in 2025, secured his semi-final place with a 107 finish.
Jonny Clayton is set to face Gerwyn Price in the final quarter-final match. Should Clayton win this all-Welsh encounter, the semi-final lineup would mirror last year's, featuring the same four players who reached the semi-finals in Minehead in 2025.

The semi-finals and final are scheduled to begin at 19:00 GMT. The tournament winner will receive a first prize of £120,000.
