Bodycam Footage Shows Tiger Woods After Florida Crash

Police have released body camera footage capturing Tiger Woods following a car accident in Florida last month, where he clipped a truck and rolled his vehicle.

The 15-time major champion, aged 50, is seen cooperating with law enforcement officers and is heard hiccuping while seated in the back of a police car.

Woods was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. On Tuesday, he entered a written plea of not guilty through his legal representatives.

Additional charges against Woods include property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test.

A judge has granted Woods permission to seek treatment overseas. He has announced he will step away from professional golf to focus on his recovery and health.

Details from the Crash and Arrest Footage

In the full video, Woods, dressed in a blue polo shirt, shorts, and dark sunglasses, is shown calmly kneeling on one knee and explaining to officers:

"I looked down at my phone, and all of a sudden, boom."

After an initial search, an officer left Woods to speak with witnesses at the crash scene on Jupiter Island. One witness stated:

"He kept coming. I was getting ready to turn in, he was coming fast. I don't think he was looking, that's the thing."

No injuries were reported from the crash. Woods had to crawl out of the passenger door to exit the vehicle. He passed a breathalyser test but refused a urinalysis test for other substances, according to Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek.

The arrest affidavit notes that Woods was "sweating profusely," his pupils were "extremely dilated," and his movements were described as "lethargic and slow."

When questioned, Woods stated he had not consumed alcohol that day but acknowledged taking some prescription medications earlier that morning. He listed the medications, though the specific names were redacted from the footage.

Officers informed Woods they suspected his "normal faculties are impaired" by an "unknown substance." Authorities discovered two white pills in his pocket, identified as hydrocodone, an opioid pain medication.

Throughout the search, Woods remained still and compliant while officers placed him in handcuffs. When asked if he had anything else on his person, Woods responded negatively.
