Irwin Hospitalized Following Snetterton Crash
Glenn Irwin has been declared unfit to continue racing after a crash during the opening race of the British Superbike Championship at Snetterton on Saturday.
Irwin was involved in a four-rider collision at turn two on the opening lap, which resulted in pelvic pain. He was subsequently transferred to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for further evaluation.
The Nitrous Competitions Ducati rider has previously suffered a crash at Snetterton in 2025, an incident that ended his aspirations for that season's championship.
Race Restart and Results
The race was restarted and completed over 14 laps. Bradley Ray secured his seventh consecutive victory after the race was halted again by a red flag on the final lap.
Scott Redding of Hager PBM finished second, trailing Ray by 0.272 seconds, while championship leader Kyle Ryder completed the podium in third place, finishing approximately three seconds behind Redding.
