"While several alternatives were considered, it was ultimately decided that no substitutions will be made in April," Formula 1's governing body, the FIA, stated before the Chinese Grand Prix on Sunday.

The Bahrain Grand Prix at the Sakhir circuit was planned for 10-12 April, with the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in Jeddah set to follow a week later.
