Forest Beat Rhinos to Maintain Unbeaten Start
Nottingham Forest extended their flawless start to the 2026 Netball Super League (NSL) season with a 61-51 victory against Leeds Rhinos at Motorpoint Arena.
South African Rolene Streutker, who was named the 2025 NSL Player of the Year, was instrumental in the win, scoring a game-high 32 goals.
Forest remain one of only two teams to have won all three of their matches so far this season and currently sit second in the standings behind three-time Grand Final champions Loughborough Lightning.
Leeds Rhinos are positioned sixth after securing one win and suffering two losses in their first three games.
Double-Header at Motorpoint Arena
On Saturday, Motorpoint Arena also hosted a double-header featuring victories for Loughborough Lightning and London Mavericks.
Loughborough Lightning defeated the defending NSL champions London Pulse 68-61.
London Pulse had claimed their first title in 2025 by dethroning Lightning, and both teams are considered strong contenders for this season's Grand Final.
Last month, Lightning avenged their previous defeat by beating Pulse in the Netball Super Cup final.
This league win further solidifies Lightning's position at the top of the table after three rounds, with Pulse trailing three points behind in fourth place.
Samantha Wallace-Joseph of Lightning and Liv Tchine of Pulse were joint top scorers in the match, each netting 25 goals.
Meanwhile, London Mavericks secured their first win of the season in their third attempt by thrashing Birmingham Panthers 76-49.
Previously, Mavericks had needed a buzzer-beater to win their last encounter with Panthers last season, but this time, 43 goals from goal attack George Inger powered the capital club to a comfortable victory on Saturday.
Mavericks moved up to fifth place in the standings, while winless Panthers remain at the bottom without any points.
Dragons' Winless Streak Continues
On Friday, LexisNexis Dragons extended their winless run with a 69-55 defeat against AO Manchester Thunder.
After narrowly losing to London Pulse by one point last week, Dragons were decisively beaten by Thunder.
Karen Greig's side took an early 15-13 lead by the end of the first quarter and gradually increased their advantage to secure a 14-point victory.
The Welsh team, who finished last in the revamped NSL last year with only two wins from 14 matches, have already matched that number of victories this season and currently sit second in the standings.
