World Cup 2026: Squad Announcements Begin
The 2026 World Cup, hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, will feature a record 48 teams. National squads of 26 players each are being announced ahead of the tournament, which kicks off on 11 June.

Belgium: Romelu Lukaku, described as 'out of shape,' has been included in Belgium's World Cup squad.
Bosnia-Herzegovina: Edin Dzeko will join the ranks of World Cup players aged 40.
Brazil: Neymar has been named in Brazil's 26-man World Cup squad.
Cape Verde: Shamrock Rovers' Lopes has secured a place in Cape Verde's World Cup squad.
Croatia: Luka Modric, aged 40, has been selected for Croatia's World Cup squad.
Curacao: The smallest nation participating, Curacao, has announced its debut World Cup squad.
DR Congo: Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Loic Wissa are included in DR Congo's World Cup squad.
France: Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele lead France's World Cup squad.
Haiti: Derrick Isidor and Bellegarde have been named in Haiti's World Cup squad.
Ivory Coast: Wilfried Zaha has been omitted from Ivory Coast's World Cup squad.
Japan: Injured Kaoru Mitoma has been left out of Japan's World Cup squad.
New Zealand: Braintree's Smith joins Nottingham Forest's Wood in New Zealand's squad.
Scotland: Stewart and Curtis have been included in Scotland's World Cup squad.
South Korea: Captain Son Heung-min has been selected for his fourth World Cup.
Sweden: Alexander Isak and Gyokeres have been named in Sweden's World Cup squad.
Tunisia: Coach Lamouchi has left out Sassi from Tunisia's squad.
