League One

A salute to the enduring Billy Sharp, who has scored an equaliser for Doncaster Rovers against Stevenage at the age of 40. The score stands at 1-1 at the Eco-Power Stadium.

Championship

Middlesbrough have extended their lead to 4-1 against Watford thanks to a penalty converted by Tommy Conway. Meanwhile, Charlton Athletic have taken a 2-1 lead over Hull City through a goal by Jayden Fevrier. Currently, Oxford United face relegation this afternoon without playing a match.

WSL

Manchester City have suffered their third defeat of the season, losing 3-2 to Brighton, who maintain sixth place. Despite this, Andree Jeglertz's team remain on course to secure the title with two games remaining.

Premier League

Fulham appeared to have doubled their lead against Aston Villa, but Timothy Castagne's powerful header was disallowed for a foul on goalkeeper Emi Martinez by Sander Berge, who was seen grabbing the goalkeeper's shirt. Manager Marco Silva expressed his frustration.

National League

The match between York City and Rochdale remains goalless in a crucial final day encounter at the top of the table. York currently stand to win automatic promotion to League Two, while Rochdale, despite accumulating 106 points, are set to enter the playoffs.

Championship

Morgan Whittaker demonstrated skillful close control within the six-yard box to restore Middlesbrough's two-goal advantage over Watford, making it 3-1 at the Riverside Stadium as the hour mark approaches.

WSL

After sustaining a significant head injury in the first half, Bunny Shaw has recovered sufficiently to score and reduce Manchester City's deficit against Brighton. The score is 3-2 with four minutes of added time remaining.

Championship

James Abankwah has scored for Watford, narrowing the gap to 2-1 against Middlesbrough at the Riverside. Watford are playing for pride, while Middlesbrough remain contenders for automatic promotion but are more likely to finish in the playoffs.

WSL

Madison Haley has netted her second goal of the match to extend Brighton's lead to 3-1 over league leaders Manchester City at the Broadfield Stadium. City, who had won 16 of their last 18 games, require five points from their final three matches, including this one, to secure the title.

Championship

David Strelec scored by extending his leg to convert a pass from Morgan Whittaker, doubling Middlesbrough's lead over Watford to 2-0 at the Riverside, where Boro could move into fourth place.

WSL

Japanese international Kiko Seike scored just two minutes into the second half to give Brighton the lead against Manchester City at the Broadfield Stadium, potentially marking a significant upset in the WSL.

WSL

The half-time score in the only WSL match today is level. League leaders Manchester City initially took the lead through Kerolin, but Madison Haley equalised for Brighton in added time. City need to win this and their next match to secure the championship.

Championship

Charlie Kelman scored a remarkable long-range goal to put Charlton ahead 1-0 against Hull City at The Valley. With West Brom currently holding Ipswich, Charlton and West Brom appear safe, Oxford United face relegation, and Hull's playoff hopes are severely threatened.

National League

Rochdale host York City in a decisive match for the sole automatic promotion spot at the top of the table. York lead with 107 points, while Rochdale are two points behind with 105. A draw suffices for York, but Rochdale must win to overtake their rivals and avoid the playoffs. The first half remains goalless at the Crown Oil Arena.

Daniel Farke: 'I was the slowest striker in Europe'

Leeds United manager Daniel Farke, who describes himself as a “football romantic who has learned that romanticism shouldn’t blind you to reality,” appears to have secured Premier League survival for Leeds and has led them to their first FA Cup semi-final in 39 years against Chelsea. Louise Taylor reports.

The Championship

Coventry City have already secured promotion as champions. Millwall, Ipswich Town, Southampton, and Middlesbrough are competing for the second automatic promotion spot. Ipswich Town and Millwall have secured at least playoff positions. Wrexham, Hull City, and Derby County remain hopeful of playoff qualification.

Charlton Athletic require one point from their final two games to guarantee safety and are currently hosting Hull City at The Valley in an early kick-off. Following a points deduction yesterday, West Brom also need a point to ensure survival and are hosting Ipswich Town.

At the bottom, Sheffield Wednesday and Leicester City have been relegated. Oxford United are fighting to avoid relegation with a six-point deficit and only two games remaining. With Charlton and West Brom playing today, Oxford could be relegated before their match against Sheffield Wednesday at the Kassam Stadium.

Welcome to the Clockwatch

Good afternoon and welcome to the Saturday Clockwatch, where the stakes are exceptionally high and nerves are taut. It is late April, and two prominent London clubs face significant challenges.

The focus today is on a critical survival battle. Tottenham, in 18th place and without a win since December, visit already-relegated Wolves. Anything less than a victory would be a severe setback, potentially leading to their first relegation since 1977. Just two points above, West Ham host Everton at the London Stadium in what promises to be an equally tense encounter. While Tottenham fight for survival, Everton still harbour hopes of qualifying for European competition.

At Anfield, Liverpool confront a psychological challenge, hosting Crystal Palace, who have defeated them three times this season—in the Community Shield, Premier League, and Carabao Cup. A fourth victory would make Palace the first team in history to beat Liverpool four times in a single season.

Away from Premier League drama, attention will also be on the Football League, monitoring promotion confirmations and relegation battles from the Championship down to League Two as the season reaches its climax. Stay with us for every goal, VAR decision, and critical moment as it unfolds.
