Sheffield Wednesday Sign Ricardo Santos
Sheffield Wednesday have completed the signing of defender Ricardo Santos from Swansea City for an undisclosed fee, agreeing to a one-year contract.
This marks the club's first acquisition since the takeover by US consortium Arise Capital Partners in May, which ended the club's administration period.
The Owls, who were relegated to League One last season, hold the option to extend the 31-year-old's contract by an additional 12 months.
Player Background and Career
Santos joined Swansea from Bolton Wanderers last summer but featured in only one Championship match for the Swans.
During his tenure at Bolton, he made 172 league appearances over five seasons, spanning from 2020 to 2025.
Additionally, Santos earned his first international cap for Cape Verde last season.
