Scotland's Path to the Women's World Cup
Scotland secured the top position in their World Cup qualifying group and now face a challenging route through the play-offs to reach next summer's Women's World Cup.
Under the guidance of Melissa Andreatta, Scotland emerged victorious in their League B qualifying group, finishing ahead of Belgium. This success earned them a seeded position in path 2 of the play-off draw, which features 32 teams competing for eight spots at the finals in Brazil.
Meanwhile, Denmark, France, Germany, and Spain have already secured their places in the tournament by winning their respective League A groups.
Play-Off Matchups
In the first round of the play-offs, Scotland will face the Czech Republic in a two-legged tie. The first leg will be played away, followed by a home match against the Czechs, who finished second in their group behind Wales.
If Scotland triumph on aggregate, they will advance to face the winner of the tie between Lithuania and Sweden.
Sweden finished third in their League A group, behind Denmark and Italy, while Lithuania topped their League C group.
