Ross County Stadium to Become Cashless from June 1

Ross County's stadium in Dingwall will transition to a cashless venue starting 1 June following the closure of the town's last remaining bank.

The club highlighted that a "steady closure" of local bank branches has led to difficulties in accessing and securely transporting cash.

Dingwall's Bank of Scotland branch closed in March, joining previous closures of TSB, Clydesdale, and RBS branches over recent years.

Ross County announced that only card payments will be accepted at its shop, ticket office, and car park. Additionally, payments for the club’s children's community courses will move exclusively online.

Other Scottish stadiums, including Hampden and Ibrox, have already adopted cashless policies.

Challenges and Benefits of Going Cashless

The club, which is preparing for a Championship survival match away against Raith Rovers on Friday night, stated that handling cash has become "increasingly difficult."

In a message addressed to supporters, chief executive Steven Ferguson said:

"We're first and foremost a community club, and this decision reflects what's happening across the communities we serve."

He further explained that the move away from cash would facilitate a "smoother, more efficient" matchday experience and enhance safety and service for supporters.
