Rangers Forward Ryan Naderi Faces Uncertain Return Due to Serious Muscle Injury

Ryan Naderi has scored three goals in 10 appearances for Rangers.

Rangers head coach Danny Rohl has described Ryan Naderi's muscle injury as "serious" and remains uncertain about the German forward's return timeline.

Naderi, aged 22, was substituted at half-time during Saturday's 4-2 victory over Dundee United, a match in which he scored his first league goal for Rangers and his third goal overall for the club.

When asked about Naderi's condition, Rohl stated:

"Not well.
It's a serious one. We don't know when he's back. If you have muscle injury then you have to look week by week. We have to re-scan him in two weeks and then we will know more about how long.
Ryan made a great impact since he arrived, not just the goals. Also a lot of work off the ball, against the ball, a lot of runs for the team."

Rohl added:

"It's always not nice when you lose players from your squad. This is football, it happens.
We have to look for a new solution. We have a lot of players that are available, that are ready for this. We have to stick together."

Squad Updates and Injury News

While Rohl mentioned that other squad members are dealing with "small issues," he confirmed that central defender Derek Cornelius has returned to training. Additionally, there is positive news regarding left-back Tuur Rommens, who missed the recent win over Dundee United.

Regarding Rommens, Rohl commented:

"Tuur had one more treatment this week, was very successful.
This weekend will be too early but it looks great that he is back, maybe the first, if everything goes well, but latest the second game in the split."

Upcoming Fixtures and Team Outlook

Following Sunday's away match against Falkirk, Rangers will have a two-week break before commencing their post-split schedule. This will begin with a home game against Motherwell, followed by away matches at Hearts and Celtic, then a home fixture against Hibernian, and concluding with a final-day return to Falkirk.

Rohl expressed optimism about the schedule and the squad's capabilities:

"We have an exciting schedule.
I'm happy with the group and we have to believe we have the quality, we have the mindset and the mentality to win this title."

Rangers have yet to defeat Falkirk this season, having drawn twice. On Falkirk, Rohl said:

"They have nothing to lose now. They can just win.
It's for some teams nice because there are moments where you can also gamble. You can go more offensive.
We are ready for this game. We want to win the final game before the split to have a great opportunity then in the split."
