Motherwell Deny Approach for Manager Berthel Askou
Motherwell have firmly stated that they have not received any approach regarding their manager Jens Berthel Askou, despite circulating reports linking the Danish coach with French Ligue 1 club Toulouse.
Since his appointment last summer, Berthel Askou has made a remarkable impact at Fir Park. Under his leadership, Motherwell have been close to securing a position in the Scottish Premiership and were on the verge of qualifying for European competition.
Prior to his role at Motherwell, the 43-year-old Dane served as an assistant coach at FC Copenhagen and has held managerial positions in Denmark, Sweden, and the Faroe Islands.
Askou has previously been linked with Celtic, and recent reports suggest that he is attracting interest from Toulouse, a mid-table Ligue 1 side. This speculation follows the announcement that Toulouse's current head coach, Carles Martínez Novell, will depart at the end of the season.
