Barcelona Extends LaLiga Lead with Convincing Win
Barcelona secured a commanding 3-0 victory over Mallorca at Camp Nou on Saturday, extending their lead atop the LaLiga standings. Under Hansi Flick’s management, the team dominated possession early on. Marcus Rashford narrowly missed a chance before contributing to the opening goal. Dani Olmo’s initial effort was blocked, but he headed the rebound into the path of Robert Lewandowski, who calmly finished in the 29th minute.

After halftime, Barcelona maintained pressure with Marc Casado hitting the post. The breakthrough came in the 61st minute when 18-year-old Lamine Yamal scored a remarkable long-range goal, marking his fifth consecutive match with a goal across all competitions. Another 18-year-old substitute, Marc Bernal, sealed the win with a skillful solo run and precise low finish. Barcelona now hold 58 points, four ahead of second-placed Real Madrid, who face Valencia on Sunday.

Earlier on Saturday, Rayo Vallecano’s home fixture against Real Oviedo was postponed due to poor pitch conditions at Vallecas stadium. Dortmund Narrows Bundesliga Gap with Late Winner
Borussia Dortmund secured a 2-1 victory at VfL Wolfsburg thanks to a late goal from striker Serhou Guirassy, reducing Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga lead to three points. Guirassy’s 10th league goal of the season came after a well-executed midfield sequence, allowing Dortmund to reach 48 points from 21 matches, trailing Bayern, who have 51 points and host Hoffenheim on Sunday.

Dortmund dominated the first half and took the lead in the 38th minute through Julian Brandt. However, Konstantinos Koulierakis equalized for relegation-threatened Wolfsburg with a header in the 52nd minute. Wolfsburg missed several opportunities to take the lead, which proved costly. The winning goal came when Fabio Silva and Felix Nmecha combined on the edge of the penalty area before Guirassy finished with a right-footed shot from the left.

Napoli Narrowly Defeat Genoa in Serie A
In Serie A, Napoli’s Rasmus Hojlund scored twice, including a stoppage-time penalty, to secure a 3-2 win at Genoa despite finishing with 10 men. The victory brought Napoli to 49 points, six behind leaders Inter Milan and one behind second-placed AC Milan, both of whom have a game in hand.

Hojlund opened the scoring and later converted the decisive penalty five minutes into added time. The penalty was awarded after a VAR review determined that Genoa substitute Maxwel Cornet stepped on Antonio Vergara’s foot. Napoli played the final 15 minutes with 10 men following the dismissal of defender Juan Jesus. Relegation-threatened Fiorentina face Torino in the day’s late kick-off.
