Rose to Take Over Bournemouth After Iraola

Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has expressed confidence that the club will be "in very good hands" with the appointment of Marco Rose as his successor this summer.

Rose, 49, who previously managed Borussia Dortmund, will assume the managerial role at the end of the current season when Iraola's contract concludes.

Since his dismissal from RB Leipzig in March 2025, Rose has been without a club and has yet to manage in England.

Rose's Managerial Achievements

Marco Rose's managerial career includes leading Red Bull Salzburg to two Austrian Bundesliga titles and an Austrian Cup victory. Additionally, he secured the German Cup and German Super Cup with RB Leipzig, where Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai notably scored in the 2023 German Cup final.

Rose was also among the candidates considered by Tottenham Hotspur following the departure of Thomas Frank in February.

Iraola's Praise for Rose

I think the club will be in very good hands. He's a great manager.
I praised him a few years ago, I always liked his teams and I hope he continues that.
He's a good manager with a lot of European experience. He looks very exciting. I don't know him personally but I always like his teams.
They should be happy because he's someone who can definitely improve the team. I'm sure the players are happy they know what's happening.

Current Season and Future Prospects

Under Iraola's guidance, Bournemouth has achieved a 13-game unbeaten streak in the Premier League and currently sits eighth in the standings ahead of their upcoming match against Leeds on Wednesday.

Iraola has the opportunity to secure European football for Bournemouth for the first time in the club's history before his departure. His next career move remains undisclosed.

We are in a good place in the standings but it's going to be so difficult for us,
Iraola said.
We are competing against not one or two but a lot of teams.
