Hudson-Odoi to Miss Remainder of Season Following Surgery

Nottingham Forest winger Callum Hudson-Odoi has been ruled out for the rest of the season after undergoing surgery on a leg injury.

The 25-year-old, who has contributed four assists and three goals for Forest in the Premier League this season, was substituted during Forest's Europa League quarter-final second-leg win against Porto last Thursday. He subsequently missed the Premier League match on Sunday, where Forest secured a 4-1 victory over Burnley.

Forest have officially confirmed that the former Chelsea player underwent surgery and will not regain full fitness until the pre-season period.

"Surgery was successful but definitely not the way I wanted to end the season," wrote Hudson-Odoi on Instagram.

"But with God's timing and plan hopefully I'll be back stronger and better than before."

Under the management of Vitor Pereira, Nottingham Forest currently sit five points clear of the relegation zone. The team faces a challenging schedule in their final five Premier League matches, with fixtures against Sunderland, Chelsea, Newcastle, Manchester United, and Bournemouth.

In addition to their league commitments, Forest will compete in the Europa League semi-finals against Aston Villa, with the first leg scheduled for 30 April.
