Hearts Draw Sturm Graz in Champions League Qualifying Round
Heart of Midlothian will compete against Austrian side Sturm Graz in the second round of the UEFA Champions League qualifying matches.
The Edinburgh-based club is returning to the qualifiers of Europe's premier club competition for the first time in two decades, having secured the runners-up position in the Scottish Premiership. This followed a final-day loss to the reigning champions, Celtic.
Similarly, Sturm Graz earned their spot by finishing second in the Austrian Bundesliga, trailing behind LASK.
The first leg of the tie is scheduled to take place at Sturm Graz's home ground on either the 21st or 22nd of July, with the second leg set for the following midweek.
By the time these matches occur, Hearts are expected to have a new manager in charge. Current head coach Derek McInnes appears likely to move to Rangers, and the Edinburgh club is anticipated to announce his successor within a few days.
