Harry Maguire Signs Contract Extension with Manchester United
Former captain Harry Maguire has agreed to a one-year contract extension with Manchester United, which includes an option to extend for an additional year.
The 33-year-old central defender's existing contract was set to expire at the conclusion of the current season.
Maguire transferred to Manchester United from Leicester City in 2019 for a fee of £80 million.
Since joining, he has made 266 appearances for the club and has been part of the squads that won the League Cup in the 2022-23 season and the FA Cup the following year.
Under interim manager Michael Carrick, Maguire has experienced a resurgence, starting all 10 matches since Carrick's appointment in mid-January. This comes after a period of limited playing time under previous manager Ruben Amorim and an absence of eight games due to a thigh injury.
