Caernarfon Secures Historic Welsh Cup Victory
Caernarfon achieved their first-ever Welsh Cup triumph with an early three-goal lead proving decisive in their 3-0 victory over Flint in the final held in Newport.
The match began with Caernarfon showing clear intent, as Sion Bradley scored to put them ahead after just seven minutes.
Five minutes later, Bradley was fouled near the penalty area, resulting in a free kick which Matty Jones expertly converted.
A corner kick by Jones then led to the third goal, scored by Adrian Cieślewicz, whose shot hit the crossbar before crossing the line.
European Qualification and Future Prospects
This victory guarantees Caernarfon a place in the Europa Conference League next season, marking their second appearance in European competition.
Meanwhile, Flint, aiming to win the Welsh Cup for the first time since 1954, will now focus on securing their position in the Cymru Premier League with one game remaining this season, facing Cardiff Met next week.
