The BBC is introducing a special 'Stay Up or Catch Up' service for its live coverage of England's World Cup 2026 last-16 match against Mexico.
The knockout game will begin at 01:00 BST on Monday and will be broadcast live exclusively on BBC One and BBC . Presenter Kelly Cates will be joined by former players Wayne Rooney, Joe Hart, and Micah Richards for the coverage.
Additionally, a full no-spoiler repeat of the match will air on BBC Two from 07:10 BST, with a complete replay available on demand via BBC immediately following the live broadcast.
Live radio commentary will be provided on BBC Radio 5 Live and , complemented by live text updates and in-match clips accessible through the website and app.
An extended 15-minute highlights programme will be available on BBC and the Football YouTube channel.
Fans can also experience the match live in 3D using 's World Cup 3D feature.
"World Cup knockout football is absolutely unmissable, but a 1:00am kick-off isn't realistic for everyone," said BBC director of sport Alex Kay-Jelski.

A peak audience of 16.3 million viewers tuned in to watch England's dramatic 2-1 victory over DR Congo in their last-32 match on Wednesday.
The 17:00 BST kickoff attracted an average of 14 million viewers on BBC TV, marking the most-watched moment on the BBC this year.
England's group stage matches kicked off at 21:00 BST against Croatia and Ghana, and at 22:00 BST against Panama.
The wins over Croatia (15.4 million peak) and Panama (13.8 million peak) were broadcast on ITV, while the draw with Ghana reached a peak audience of 15.4 million on the BBC.
England Manager Urges Parents to Let Children Watch; Pubs to Stay Open Late
England manager Thomas Tuchel has encouraged parents to allow their children to stay up to watch the match against Mexico. Additionally, pubs in England and Wales will be permitted to remain open until 05:00 on Monday to accommodate the game.
"There's so much school to go to, but the World Cup is every four years. Let them watch," Tuchel said following the win against DR Congo.
"There will be a big match in four days, and we need the support of everyone, especially the children."
