Victory Parade Announced for Aston Villa in Birmingham
A parade celebrating Aston Villa's triumph in the Europa League final will take place in Birmingham on Thursday, according to the city council.
Villa secured a commanding 3-0 victory over German side Freiburg, capturing their first major European trophy since 1982.
Fans erupted in jubilation at the final whistle in Istanbul, celebrating a well-deserved win under the guidance of manager Unai Emery.

Parade Route and Details
The parade is scheduled to commence at 16:30 BST on Branston Street in the Jewellery Quarter, proceeding through Sand Pits, Broad Street, and Centenary Square.
Aston Villa has advised supporters that they do not need to travel to specific points along the route, as screens will be positioned throughout to provide viewing opportunities.
The procession will feature three open-top buses: the lead bus, painted blue, will carry media personnel; the second, a claret bus, will transport the players; and a third blue bus will carry club staff.
The club has confirmed that a trophy lift will be the highlight of the parade.
Supporters will have multiple opportunities to engage directly with the team along the route, the club added.
Fan Reactions and Global Support
Inside the stadium, approximately 8,000 fans erupted in celebration upon Aston Villa being declared winners.
"It was a fantastic win. Absolutely brilliant. It will be remembered for years to come," said John, who was in Istanbul, speaking to the BBC.
Supporters unable to attend the match in person also shared their excitement.
Owusu Boakye Amando, head of Aston Villa supporters in Ghana, described the experience of fans 4,000 miles away.
"Yesterday was one of our best moments in life. What a time to support Aston Villa. Around 4pm in the evening, we all chanted songs and cheering up the boys. It was amazing - what a time to be alive."
Kevin Evans from Bilston expressed his elation despite physical discomfort.
"It was magical, it's a feeling I can't even describe today. I'm suffering bit - sore throat, headache, but I don't care."
Club's Plans and Safety Considerations
Following the team's victory, the club issued a statement outlining considerations for the celebrations.
They explored the possibility of replicating the iconic 1982 European Cup celebrations by bringing the players to Victoria Square and erecting a stage in Centenary Square to enhance fan engagement.
However, ongoing construction and safety concerns at Victoria Square, along with advice regarding the risk of overcrowding at Centenary Square, led to the dismissal of both options.
The club apologized to fans remaining in Istanbul who would be unable to participate in the celebrations in Birmingham.
"The club is grateful for the support and co-operation of the local community and authorities for accommodating the unavoidable disruption from the parade. We are fully aware that some supporters who made the journey to Istanbul may not be back home in time. For those unable to attend in person, the parade will be broadcast live on VillaTV, as well as on YouTube and across the Club's social media channels."

Aston Villa is covering all expenses related to the event.
