Arsenal Women Acquire Georgia Stanway from Bayern Munich
Arsenal Women have secured the signing of England midfielder Georgia Stanway from Bayern Munich. The 27-year-old midfielder has an impressive track record, having won eight trophies during her four-year tenure in the Bundesliga after departing Manchester City in 2022.
"It's an unbelievable feeling and I'm so proud to be joining Arsenal,"Stanway said.
"This is a massive club that is driving the women's game forward to new levels and I want to be a part of it. I want to win trophies and grow as a player, and this is the right place to do that with the backing of an incredible fanbase."
Before her move to Bayern Munich, Stanway achieved significant success with Manchester City, winning the Women's Super League (WSL) title, three FA Cups, and three League Cups.
At the international level, Stanway has been a key figure for England, scoring 33 goals in 93 appearances. She played an integral role in both of the Lionesses' historic Women's European Championship victories in 2022 and 2025.
