Aoibhe Brennan Called Up to Senior Republic of Ireland Squad

Teenage midfielder Aoibhe Brennan of Bohemians has been selected for her inaugural call-up to the Republic of Ireland senior women's national team. The 18-year-old will join the squad for the upcoming 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup qualifying matches against Poland scheduled for April.

Brennan has previously represented Ireland at the under-19 level and has demonstrated strong performances in the current Premier Division season with Dublin-based club Bohemians.

The squad also sees the return of West Ham's Jess Ziu and Durham's Lily Agg. Agg is included for the first time since 2024 following her recovery from a significant knee injury.

Notably, Hayley Nolan and Jamie Finn have not been named in Carla Ward's 24-player roster.

The Irish team will travel to Gdansk for the first qualifier against Poland on Tuesday, 14 April, before hosting the same opponents at the Aviva Stadium four days later.
