Gralloch Gravel Race Draws Thousands to Gatehouse of Fleet
Over the weekend, the Galloway town of Gatehouse of Fleet was taken over by thousands of bike riders participating in the Gralloch gravel race. The event, which was first held in 2023, attracted approximately 3,000 competitors along with their family members and friends who came to support them.

In the women's category, Geerike Schreurs from the Netherlands secured first place, followed by Karolina Migon of Poland in second, and Wendy Oosterwoud, also from the Netherlands, in third. The men's race was won by Austria's Lukas Postlberger, notable for having won a stage at the Giro D'Italia. Great Britain's Jenson Young finished second, with Belgium's Niels Vandeputte taking third place.
This year, the event saw competitors from nearly 50 different nations participating across the three-day period from Friday to Sunday.
