In the opening game of the T20 Blast second tier, Glamorgan captain Lauren Parfitt led from the front, scoring 86 runs off 58 balls to guide her team to a 65-run victory over Gloucestershire.
Opening partner Daisy Jeanes contributed a swift 38 runs, while Emily Geach's bowling figures of 3-24 stood out as Glamorgan amassed a total of 184-6 in the sunny conditions at Bristol.
Gloucestershire struggled to keep pace with the required run rate. Nicole Reid took 1-13 in her four overs, and despite efforts from Eve Jackson and Gemma Porter, who each took two wickets, Gloucestershire finished on 119-6.
Emily Geach remained unbeaten on 32 and, alongside Melissa Story who scored 29, put on a 52-run partnership for the sixth wicket, helping to limit the margin of defeat.
This victory marked Glamorgan's seventh consecutive win of the season as they prepare for their transition to professional status in 2027.

Glamorgan entered the match unbeaten in six matches across the One Day Cup and T20 County Cup competitions, while Gloucestershire had only two County Cup wins to their name.
Glamorgan faced a setback with the injury of Scotland all-rounder Megan McColl during the warm-up. Gloucestershire fielded new signing and former Somerset batter Amelie Munday, who made her debut in this match.

Rebecca Halliday (17) and Amelie Munday (20) made some progress before seamer Eve Jackson dismissed Munday, caught at long-on by Jeanes, and later bowled Halliday.
With the score at 50 runs at the halfway mark, Gloucestershire aimed primarily to improve their standing. Story and the aggressive Geach compiled a 52-run partnership for the sixth wicket, which ended when Story was stumped off the final ball of the innings.
