Second Test Day 5: NZ 391 & 362; England 291 & 209

Matt Henry claimed 11 wickets in the match as New Zealand secured a commanding 253-run victory over England in the second Test on Sunday.

New Zealand swiftly dismissed the remaining five England wickets to clinch the win at the Oval. Henry delivered a devastating spell, taking four England wickets, including Joe Root for 77, within 25 minutes. England started the day at 182-5 but managed only 10 additional runs before losing four wickets, falling to 192-9 as the Black Caps maintained relentless pressure.

Root had kept England's slim hopes alive with a 75-run partnership on Saturday, but the interim captain was trapped lbw by Henry early on the final day after adding just two runs. Henry then bowled Jofra Archer for a two-ball duck, completing a double-wicket maiden over. Continuing his dominant form, Henry dismissed Matthew Fisher and Josh Tongue consecutively for ducks, leaving Sonny Baker and Jordan Cox at the crease.

Cox contributed 25 runs, delighting the home crowd with two boundaries, but Henry soon ended the match by removing him with a yorker. Henry's second-innings figures were six for 29, bringing his match tally to 11 wickets.
