Woman convicted of murdering sister in Camden
A woman has been found guilty of murdering her film director sister, Jennifer Abbott Dauward, in her north London home.
Nancy Pexton, aged 69 at the time, stabbed Abbott—also known as Sarah Steinberg—at her flat in Mornington Place, Camden, on 10 June last year.
Abbott, who was 69 and nine months older than Pexton, was discovered dead on the living room floor on 13 June after a neighbour forced entry by breaking down the door. Her mouth was covered with gaffer tape.
Pexton was arrested five days after Abbott's body was found, following the discovery of Abbott's diamond-encrusted gold Rolex watch in Pexton's bag, as revealed during the Old Bailey trial.
A post-mortem examination determined that Abbott had sustained multiple stab and slash wounds, as well as a single defensive wound on her right hand.
