Woman Appears in Court Over Soho Pedestrian Incident

A 29-year-old woman has appeared in court charged with attempted murder following an incident in central London where a car struck pedestrians on Sunday morning, leaving one woman in a life-threatening condition.

Gabrielle Carrington, from Broadfield Road, Manchester, appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court. She faces charges including attempted murder, grievous bodily harm with intent, actual bodily harm, and drink-driving.

Details of the Incident

The Metropolitan Police reported that officers responded to Argyll Street in Soho at approximately 04:30 BST after receiving reports that a vehicle had hit pedestrians.

A 30-year-old woman was transported to hospital and remains in a life-threatening condition. Additionally, a man in his 50s sustained life-changing injuries, while another woman suffered minor injuries.
