Woman Arrested After Man Found Dead at Tamworth Railway Station

A 28-year-old woman has been arrested after a man was found dead at Tamworth railway station. Police have launched a murder investigation and are appealing for witnesses.

Murder Investigation Launched Following Death at Tamworth Station

A murder investigation has been initiated after a 28-year-old man was discovered deceased at a railway station, according to British Transport Police (BTP).

A BTP spokesperson confirmed that a 28-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the incident and is currently in police custody.

The body was found in the car park of Tamworth railway station during the early hours of Sunday.

Staffordshire Police officers responded to reports of an unresponsive man on Victoria Road at approximately 02:20 GMT. The man was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene.

The area has been cordoned off as forensic examinations are being conducted.

Police Appeal for Information

Detective Inspector Marvin Bruno, the senior investigating officer, stated:

"Our specialist family liaison officers are providing support to the victim's family and our thoughts remain with them at this time.
We are urging anyone with any information or anyone who witnessed events leading up to the man's death to get in touch with us."

Members of the public with relevant information are encouraged to contact the police to assist with the ongoing investigation.
