Viable Device Found in Glenarm Security Alert
A viable device was discovered during a security alert in Glenarm, County Antrim, on Monday.
An elderly woman and two men were arrested in connection with the incident; however, the woman has since been released.
Police received a report shortly after 10:00 BST regarding a suspicious device located in the Feystown Road area.
Det Insp Lenaghan, from the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI), stated:
Ammunition technical officers carried out a controlled explosion.
Two men, aged 43 and 47, were arrested on suspicion of doing an act with intent to cause an explosion likely to endanger life or cause serious injury to property, as well as obstructing police.
A woman in her 70s was arrested on suspicion of obstructing police but has since been released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.
