Car Crashes into Nursery Playground in Ellesmere Port
A two-year-old boy has sustained serious injuries, and two other children have been hurt after a car crashed into a nursery playground in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire.
The incident occurred just before 09:55 BST when a vehicle drove through a fence on Vale Road in the Whitby area, according to police reports.
Emergency Response and Investigation
Officers from Cheshire Constabulary attended the scene alongside personnel from the North West Ambulance Service. The children's next of kin have been informed of the situation.
A 63-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
Cheshire Constabulary confirmed that the two-year-old boy was seriously hurt and has been transported to hospital for further treatment. Two other children involved sustained minor injuries.
Authorities remain at the scene conducting multiple inquiries to fully understand the circumstances surrounding what is believed to be an isolated incident.
