Charges Filed in Gravesend Rape Case
Two men and three boys have been formally charged in connection with an alleged rape involving a teenage girl in Gravesend.
Kent Police reported that the incident occurred at a property on Salisbury Road between 25 March and 19 April.
Details of the Accused
Ionut Dobre, 33, residing on Cleanthus Road in Woolwich, has been charged with rape. Additionally, three boys from Gravesend—two aged 16 and one aged 15—have also been charged with rape. Benone Inofte, 46, of Salisbury Road, faces charges of aiding and abetting rape.
Court Appearances and Nationalities
All five individuals appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court on Friday. Their next scheduled court appearance is at Woolwich Crown Court on 22 May.
Among those charged, four, including both men, are Romanian nationals. One of the 16-year-old boys holds British nationality.
Custody Status
Both men remain in police custody. Two of the boys have been remanded into youth detention, while the third boy is currently under the care of the local authority.
