Army Medic and TikTok Star Lucy Wilde Dies at 25

Corporal Lucy Wilde, an army medic and social media personality, has died at the age of 25. She was found deceased at her barracks in Warminster, Wiltshire, on 5 February.

Her brother, Josh Wilde, described her as "strength wrapped in softness," while her former regiment praised her "tireless care for others." The Ministry of Defence has stated that the circumstances surrounding her death are under investigation.

Public and Family Tributes

Wilde had amassed 18,000 followers on TikTok, where she shared videos of her exercise routines and daily life, inspiring many of her viewers. Her brother highlighted her dedication and resilience in serving the army.

"She served in the army with 'courage and pride' and 'lived with resilience'."
"She adored long walks with her dog, the peace of nature, books that transported her, and the sense of freedom found outdoors," he added.
"She had a warmth and loyalty that was rare, a heart that gave even when she had been hurt."

Military Career and Commendations

Wilde joined the army eight years ago, initially serving with the Welsh Guards until Christmas before transferring to the Royal Yorkshire Regiment.

The Welsh Guards issued a detailed tribute, noting her "rare ability to lift those around her" and stating that her loss would be deeply felt "across the Battalion and far beyond."

Her former regiment also highlighted her bravery during an incident in the Falklands involving an overturned vehicle with multiple injured Welsh Guards. Her prompt and relentless care earned her a commendation award.

"Lucy was first on the scene and worked relentlessly to treat casualties and ensure every Guardsman was accounted for and safe," the regiment said.
"Her actions that day were nothing short of outstanding, and she was rightly commended for her courage and professionalism."
