Three Men Die in West London Pavilion Fire

Fatal Fire in West London

Three men have died following a fire that destroyed a building in west London, according to the London Fire Brigade.

Firefighters rescued three men from a single-storey pavilion located on New Zealand Way after the fire began shortly before 19:00 BST on Saturday.

Assistant Commissioner Pat Goulbourne confirmed that two men were pronounced dead at the scene, while the third man later died in hospital.

Fire Response and Damage

Approximately 100 firefighters and 15 fire engines responded to the incident. The fire damaged just over half of the pavilion before being brought under control at 21:25.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

"Sadly, three people have died following a fire on New Zealand Way, White City," Goulbourne said at the scene.
"The fire involved a single storey pavilion, with just over half of the structure damaged by the fire."

Police Involvement and Investigation

The Metropolitan Police stated that officers were called to the scene and are assisting the fire brigade with their investigation.

The police also indicated they are "working to inform" the families of the victims.
