Residents in Omagh have been compelled to evacuate their homes following a security alert triggered by the discovery of a suspicious device.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) confirmed that cordons have been established in Culmore Park, located in the County Tyrone town, and have advised the public to avoid the area.

Repeated Incidents in Culmore Park

This marks the third security alert in Culmore Park within a nine-month period. Previous alerts occurred in September and February when suspicious objects were found in the same location.
