Third Arrest in Finchley Synagogue Arson Attempt

A third individual has been detained in connection with an attempted arson attack at Finchley Reform Synagogue located in north London.

The 19-year-old male suspect was apprehended at a residence in Portsmouth on Thursday morning and is currently in police custody, according to the Metropolitan Police.

This recent arrest follows the initial response by officers who were called to the synagogue on Fallow Court Avenue, Finchley, during the early hours of 15 April. Fortunately, the building sustained no damage and there were no injuries reported.

Earlier on the day of the incident, a 38-year-old woman and a 46-year-old man were arrested in Watford on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life. Both individuals have since been released on bail, with conditions extending until July.
