Fatal Crash Investigation in Gorseinon

Police responded to a collision involving a car and an off-road bike on Pen Car Crwn Road, Gorseinon, Swansea, on Thursday afternoon.

The incident occurred at approximately 13:00 BST, where an 18-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Charges Filed

Tyler Ford, aged 18, from Morriston, has been charged with the murder of Ceiran Evans, also 18, from Gorseinon, in connection with the crash.

Additionally, Ford faces charges of attempted murder relating to a second individual, a 19-year-old man who remains hospitalized. Ford is currently held in police custody.

Police Statement and Support for Family

South Wales Police indicated that formal identification of the deceased has not yet been completed. However, the family of Ceiran Evans is receiving support from officers trained for such circumstances.

Other Arrests and Investigation Progress

Four other men have been arrested and are currently on police bail as part of the ongoing investigation:

  • An 18-year-old man from Gorseinon, arrested on suspicion of murder and Section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent.
  • A 33-year-old man from Gorseinon, arrested on suspicion of murder.
  • A 38-year-old man from Gowerton, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
  • A 38-year-old man from Mount Pleasant, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Detective Inspector Danielle Thorne of South Wales Police stated that the investigation is "continuing at pace" and urged anyone with information to come forward.

"We are aware of social media footage circulating from this incident, and we once again ask that this is not shared for obvious reasons."
